Syn son ny son
Es un canto a lo absurdo del mundo contemporáneo; una antigua estampa acostumbrista en la que todos los personajes hablan el lenguaje de la marca Sony. La combinación de las cuatro letras que forman su logotipo, recortado infinitas veces de un catálogo de sus productos, permiten construir frases que dan voz a la vieja escena. Acabados los logotipos, acabado el cuadro.
“Syn son ny son” is a song to the absurd in the contemporary world, reminiscent of an old satirical print complete with an inn and stagecoach, where all of the characters speak the language of the Sony brand. The combination of the four letters making up the Sony logo, which I cut countless times from a catalogue showing its modern products, allowed me to construct sentences that gave the old scene a voice. When the logos ran out, the picture was finished.

Doy fe
Es un ready made que consiste en un letrero robado en un concurrido restaurante en Italia. La sustracción del letrero permite demostrar la veracidad del mensaje que contiene, es decir que, efectivamente, el guardarropa no está custodiado. En los tiempos que corren, rara vez puede uno corroborar o garantizar algo que un desconocido afirma. El acto fue rematado con la estampación: "Doy fe. De Val. No malhechor, artista" y los datos concretos, es decir, lugar y fecha de la sustracción.
It was a sign I stole at a crowded restaurant in Italy. The sign, which was handwritten, reads: “Informiamo i nostri clienti che questo guardaroba non é custodito”. The removal of the sign allowed me to prove the veracity of the message it contained; in other words, that the cloakroom was indeed unattended. Today, one can rarely corroborate or guarantee anything a stranger says. I put the finishing touch on this act by stamping the sign with the following ex operis: “I hereby certify. De Val. Not criminal, artist" and the specifics, in other words, the place and date of the theft.
